Default Quitting smoking

I am in the process of quitting smoking and I am being a HUGE ***** to my husband. I feel sorry for the guy yet at the same time I am being so horrible! It's like someone else lets things out of my mouth without my permission!!!

Has anyone else been through this and how did you cope?!?! My last smoke was Friday night at bedtime.

Every try the vapor smokes? It curbs the oral fixation and hand-to-mouth satisfaction but it's just water vapor and has many flavors.

It takes about a week to really stop going through withdraws. I suggest having more self control and removing yourself from your husband's presence when you feel like snapping. Let him know you are going through withdraws and should be more regulated within a week.

All the best...

I've been quit for 20+ years. Went cold turkey and was a nasty SOB to be around. My wife never smoked and really wanted me to quit so she was great about letting the grumpiness roll off her back. Ask your husband to do the same and be patient. After a week it gets a little bit easier. After a month even more. After three months I still had an urge but knew I was done with it. Good luck.

Bulgarian cure will cure mankind from cigarette smoke - NicoNot-Herbal stop smoking

I have looked at those vapor cigs. What exactly are they? Do they work?

They vaporize a liquid solution, consisting of water, glycerin, flavour agent and nicotine. (Glycerin and the flavouring agent are both deemed safe by the FDA)

The vapor is similar to what youd expect to come out of a fog machine. You get a satisfying throat hit, and from the reviews Ive read you wont really notice a difference between smoking real cigs and this stuff.

As far as, if they work... While a few companies market them as smoking cessation devices this is not the case. They dont stop you from smoking. You just smoke something different. Something that doesnt contain 4,000+ known carcinogens, tar and all the other crap that comes along with real tobacco.

Nicotine content varies depending on the type of fluid you purchase, and vary in strength from very low to very high... whatever that means.

I plan on buying one as soon as I find a reputable Canadian company.
