Talk About Marriage is the largest online community entirely devoted to marriage help and advice.
We rely on volunteer licensed therapists to share their voice on Talk About Marriage, and to promote the values and ethics that licensed therapists are bound to. It is up to individuals from the therapist community to maintain a voice on Talk About Marriage.
To encourage your participation, licensed therapists are entitled to exclusive benefits when posting on
TalkAboutMarriage.com that are not available to the general public. After you register on the forums,
simply contact us
with the user name you registered with, state you practice in, state license
number, and any website addresses you may have.
Once we have verified your license, we will make your account into a
"Resident Therapist" account, which will be visibly noted alongside your
username. Here are the other benefits you will receive from that status:
- Unlimited Private Messaging
- Approved use of our "Resident Therapist" Badge on Your Website (see below)
- Access to Private Member's Area
- Use of "Signatures" under your posts where you can place links to your
website
- If approved, we will "whitelist" your URL so that links to your website
will not be "nofollowed," (the forum default). Your links will have the
ability to pass PageRank to your website and help it in the search results.

If you are interested in being listed in
The Family & Marriage Counseling
Directory so that you show up when people use the "Find a Local Therapist"
drop down menu on Talk About Marriage, that is a completely separate process,
and you would have to sign up through our
"Advertise" page.
Lastly, while we encourage the participation of all licensed therapists on
Talk About Marriage, everyone is required to follow the
forum guidelines, so please take a brief moment to familiarize yourself with
them.
