TAM is free. Marriage counseling never is; at least I've never heard of anyone who offers this as a free service. You can talk to a minister, rabbi, or priest (although I don't know what a man who has vowed not the marry can tell you about marriage).

Having said that, if you work for a larger employer they might offer some counseling through their employee benefits program.

I have Aetna insurance through my employer and I believe over the phone is covered. I know I get 3 free sessions in person too. Perhaps check insurance?

Focus on the Family offers a one-time complimentary counseling session. It will be from a Christian perspective, FYI:

Check to see if your employer has a program for MFC counseling.

Check with insurance company as was previously suggested.

Another Place to Look is at Employee Wellness Programs. My employer has a program and it is less expense than insurance (as in free for twelve sessions I think). Also, online therapy is growing. Although not totally free, it can be low cost like $29 a session.
