Default Invitation to Participate in a Study: Relationships and Sex (cross-post)

Hi all,

This is a cross post from General Relationships Discussion; I hope it's ok that I post this here too, I thought some of you might not wander of to the General Discussion often.

I’m working on my PhD, and I research relationships and sexuality. I’m recruiting participants for an online study. I’ve posted here before and I’ve gotten a great response, so I thought I’d make another request.

To participate, you must be at least 18 years of age or older, and having sex with someone; the sexual relationship can be a casual, occasional thing, or part of a serious, long-term relationship, either dating or married. The goal of this research is to learn more about people’s beliefs regarding sex and relationships.

Click on or bookmark this link to get to the survey. It’s about 20 minutes long. There’s no compensation, but many will find it interesting. Please complete it when you can keep your answers private, and when you can complete the survey in one sitting.

Online Study: Relationships and Sex

PS, I'm happy to provide my credentials and proof of approval to moderators, if they'd like. That info is also on the 2nd page of the survey.

Thanks!

Hey there...just took the survey but I was interrupted during the 5 minute timed part so I could not get as many responses as I would have liked. Hope that did not skew the results.

Hi RomanticGuy, I'm sorry that happened. I'm quite sure it won't throw things off, but thanks for letting me know. Thanks so much for taking the time to participate!

David,

If I can help in any other way let me know. We have been married for over 39 years and have an awesome relationship. The sex is way better now than when we got married at 16 & 17 (she was pregnant). It seems, through participating in this site and others like it, that we are the exception rather than the rule. We are each others first and only sex partner. Good luck in your doctoral work (something I wish I would have done in music, but at 57 years old I am not sure I can justify the time and expense).

Hi romantic_guy,

Thanks for the well wishes. Congrats on having such a long and fulfilling marriage! At 57 years, you've got, what, another 40-50 years ahead of you? Sounds like a perfect time to pursue studies!
