Re: If you dare, post pictures you took
Dinner tonight was Shanghai Style Thai food (I'll wait while your geography lessons sink in there ...
We had a conversation on here the other day about how Thai restaurants in the US are entirely different from Thai Restaurants in China ... as Korean restaurants in China are entirely different from Korean restaurants in the US, or in Korea. So this is the Lemongrass lounge in the Xujiahui district in Shanghai, China. This was just their Thursday special. This, and two Paulner beers cost me about 20.00 for dinner - can't beat that. This was Shrimp Curry on Sesame Toast - it was not toasted at all, but it was shrimpy. One other big difference: Nobody asked me what spice level I wanted on a scale of 1 - 5 like they do in the US. Here, you get what the Chef thinks is the appropriate level of spice ... which means, a few minutes after this picture was taken, I had a big fire in my belly, and a big smile on my face ... O MY GOSH! I love East Asian Spices ... from Kimchi to Curry I just LOVE it!!!
There's a big difference between having ten years of experience, and having one year of experience ten times.
