The kids on the "Devil's Golf Course" in Death Valley California.

That's me at the "Race Track" in Death Valley. They call this a Playa. These rocks slide across the ground and leave these tracks. Thus, the "race track"

On the road to the race track. This is ta da!!! Tea Kettle Junction.

Scotty's Castle. Scotty was a prospector. He never found any gold or silver.. He was selling dreams to investors. Sold enough to build this castle.

The Bottle House at a ghost town named Roylite. This town went from zero to like 10,000 and back to zero in like 5 years.

Hambone, we visited Scotty's Castle back in 1978. We practically ran into each other!

That was about 35 years ago, Charlie. I don't remember what we were snacking on that day. It looks like I'm peeling open a Twinkie or something

I'll ask my husband when I see him. He might remember. Food is more memorable to him.

He doesn't remember what we were eating in the car, but he remembers stopping at Ihop that morning for breakfast.

He also remembers that we had a Betamax in the car powered by the car battery and a special power supply that he made to convert 12volts to 110 AC, and a huge video camera attached to the Betamax. He turned our car into a mobile camcorder

I was kidding, hambone. I saw the date on your picture.

You have to think like a Time Traveler. We occupied the same space at different times

Is that expression excitement or sheer terror?

I'm not familiar with Mayfair, OK, it's food! Thanks. But no pic of the food.

That's his little cheezy smile.

The first time I took him flying, he was maybe 9 months old. I had him sitting in his mom's lap in the right seat. He only knew about 3 words.

All he wanted to do was grab the wheel. Couldn't get him to look out the window.

After about 20 minutes, I headed back to the airport. When I got in the landing pattern... and throttled the engine back..

THEN.. he looked shocked. His eyes got big and he says, "AH OH!!!" Like, THAT didn't sound good!... His other two words were ma ma and da da.
