Re: If you dare, post pictures you took

These threads are so much fun for me, but I tend to overdo my part of the posting. I'm such a shutterbug, and I love sharing ...

This is one of MANY pictures I took this last weekend of parks. This one is in Century Park in Shanghai.

Re: If you dare, post pictures you took

I love all kinds of candid pictures of people, but I'm not much on posed pictures. I'm also a big sap, I know. These next two are also in Century Park in Shanghai. It seems there are a lot of people who like to come here for their wedding photo shoots. Combine that with weather like we're having, and that makes for a lot of sweaty brides

This next couple, I had to circle back with my bicycle to get any picture of them. Remember that weather I was talking about? The first time, I think the bride had just gotten too hot. She had to sit, get fanned, and take water for a few minutes. When I came back by, she was up, and they resumed the photo shoot.

To me, these photos weren't about the faces, it was all about people in a beautiful place just being beautiful people.

We took a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon on our honeymoon and this is a photo I took from about 40 stories down!

Nice. I need to take more pictures and take more time with it. I really need more subjects that I don't have to worry about getting cold.

Wow, that brings back memories. Great Pic.

When I lived in Northern CA I was into long distance bicycling and I put on almost 20,000 miles cycling through areas just like in your pic.

One of my favorite memories of that was doing a 200 mile race/ride called the Davis Double several times. We would start and finish in Davis, but would cycle near Napa, over several mountains, and get almost to the coast before heading back.

Women are like iPhones. You have to touch them all over before they respond. Men are like Blackberries, rub one ball and everything moves.

Here is the helicopter that we hopped on out of the Vegas airport, and for $179 per person you get a one hour tour of the Grand Canyon which includes landing(on that spot)for about 20 minutes to explore and take photos. It will go down as one of thee greatest and most spiritual experiences of my entire life!

This isn't the best picture but I really liked it bc it looks cool.It was dark outside but the camera caught a bit of light somehow and that bright blur in the middle is a chick dancing with a lit hula hoop.

From Dongbaek park in Busan, Korea, this is one of the sections of "Not low-rent" housing near the water. Those apartments have views of Guanganli bridge, Haeundae beach, and Dongbaek park. Donald Trump has his name on a couple of those buildings.

Statue of Princess Hwangok along the coastline at Dongbaek Park in Busan, Korea. There is a Korean fairytale about a mermaid who married King Eunhye of Mugung (mythical land). The princess missed her homeland so much that on nights with a full moon, she would come to the rocks and stare at into her golden ball in the full moon light which allowed her to see her homeland. You can't see it in the picture, but apparently, mermaids don't wear seashells in Korean traditions

Taejong temple in Busan, Korea. The swastika was used as a symbol of Buddhism in this part of the world long before anyone ever heard the word "Nazi."

Looking into a ghostly port at Busan, Korea. I was struck by the fact that 60 years ago, this was the only free port in Korea and the ships sailing in carried troops and the engines of war, but on this day, while we were taking a tour boat, we watched a cruise ship sail out of the fog from this port and head out into the sea. From the pictures of my wife's childhood, I know this country was absolutely decimated, and rebuilding didn't happen overnight. It's come a long ways.

The lighthouse at Taejongdae in Busan, Korea. These are taken from my camera phone, so they could be better ...

Some of the rugged coastline around Taejongdae in Busan, Korea

Nice. Are those high rises as close together as it looks?

Some of them are pretty tight together, yes.
