It is so sad that barely anyone responds to good threads.
I guess people would rather complain about marriage, than take a break from all the depressing stuff.

Red face Re: Favorite Love Songs

Hmmmm Good question!!!! Too many to count!!!! These are just off the top of my head....

-Nothing Else Matters - Metallica
-Konstantine - Something Corporate
-Glycerine - Bush
-Collide - Howie Day
-You and Me - Lifehouse
-Here Without You - 3 Doors Down
-Fly Away WIth Me - Aerosmith
-Hallelujah - Rufus Wainwright
-Open Arms - Journey
-Angels - Robbie Williams
-My Immortal - Evanescence
-You Belong To Me - Jason Wade
-Cricket - Dance Hall Crashers
-Don't Want To Miss A Thing - Aerosmith

As you can see, I like more of the non-traditional love songs. To me they're much more emotional and powerful. Most of those songs on there make me cry if I really listen to them and am emotional.

"Someone Like You" Van Morrison. Played at my wedding.
"Brown Eyed Girl" Van Morrison. My first boyfriend used to play this song for me all the time, said that it sounded like us since we used to make love in the grass all the time
"Lovesong" The Cure
"Crazy He Calls Me" Billie Holiday
"You've got A Way" Shania Twain
"Stay With You" John Legend
"By Your Side"-Sade

Marriage is not always terrible. It can be healing, healthy and romantic. It is never perfect, but struggles strengthen the couple. We got the worse out of the way while we were engaged...now we are in a better stage. It is great to know that we can handle bad times for when they return.

We are getting along much better since we married. No more dating drama or wedding nonsense from my warped family. We no longer manage conflict in an unhealthy and explosive manner. We also stay away from negative influences and respect each others wishes.

I have become a softer woman, instead of the screeching battleax I was while we were engaged. My husband has become much more conversational, though he will always very introverted. We balance each other out, since I am extroverted.

If you can find it: "I'm Alive", by Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Howe.

"I believe that all the fears you have
can gently fly away,
We experience, we hold together,
lost in one embrace..."

I'm sure I'll think of more later, Like Sting's "When we Dance".
