Not to worry StatusQuo. It happens.

Given the level of hate on TAM today, I think I might disappear myself.

In youth it was a way I had, to do my best to please, And change, with every passing lad to suit his theories.
But now I know the things I know, and do the things I do; And if you do not like me so, To hell, my love, with you! --Dorothy Parker

It's funny how we see some posters very differently. I always LIKED 's advocate.. even though we vehemtly disagree on some things...like WOW.. would he ever NOT BE MY TYPE OF MAN !! .. yet I enjoyed his in depth debating style... I think I'd have a lot of fun with him - as a friend. .. I didn't see it as all BS...

All of us will have those here who rub us the wrong way.... yet others love them... I think the challenge is still trying to find some redeeming value in those who have a totally different world view over our own.

Oh, I thought he was smart... and appreciated his intelligence, but boring and predictable. High maintenance people bore me because they are too predictable... lol

I got what help I needed, hopefully gave the same amount of help back and then some, had a few laughs, and made a few friends that I keep in touch with on FB (and even met in person)

aside from a prurient curiosity of popping by once every 3-4 months to see if I had any messages or mentions, I haven't been here and have no plans to be a regular visitor in the near future.

but hey, maybe you'll get lucky and something awful will happen to me and I'll be back.

Re: TAMers who have gone "missing"...

Seems like Faithfulwife deleted all her threads and split, which is a shame, she had lots of good (if not blunt) things to say. She also seemed to always be in the middle of the little spats that go on here, too

Caribbean Man is, frankly, one that I don't miss. He was heavily (and I mean heavily) involved here when I came back a couple of years ago.

He often had some very good (and also blunt) advice, but he could be a right ****head at times, too. Don't think he ever got banned as he treaded that line carefully. You either loved him or hated him here, and often the two groups would collide and threads would spin out of control. The thing that I found odd about him was that his marriage was, by his own admission, excellent. He didn't seem to have a backstory, or a specific reason that brought him to TAM in the first place. I remember asking him through PM once, and his response was more or less "I like this place". Didn't seem to have the same reason the rest of us have for joining here. Always found that strange.

My little brother died on April 18, 2015 after losing the fight to cancer. Please help me be able to bury him. My parents do not have the means to do so. http://www.gofundme.com/sd4ch9bk

I miss FW, TAM is not the same without her. Come back.

As for CM no great loss, he was a very nasty poster. As is often the case with holier than thou types he fell on his sword. So much for loving his wife that much, he was banned as he participated in some rather seedy goings on here.

I agree, too.

What's the story? I missed it... I think the statute of limitations is up on that one, so spill the beans!

There are various versions so maybe someone that knows more can chime in. All I know is OMG OMG OMG it is Elaine and a few of our once prolific male posters had a bit of a sexting thing going on. The other was the guy that loved his Princess and Noticed The Details. Shame he didn't really love his Princess that much.

Re: TAMers who have gone "missing"...

CM isn't currently banned.

Details maintains his innocence in OMGgate, and loves his princess dearly (and may lose her soon-ish).

Sigh, my wife gives me the speaking treatment.
