Re: TAMers who have gone "missing"...

GettingIt and BostonBruins32.

GI posted about how she turned around her marriage a few years ago - impressed that she was able to see there was an issue, and did something about it. Didn't hurt that she's HD (my wife is very LD).

BB's wife sounds a lot like mine - no sex drive and makes watching her child sound like the Bataan Death March (meaning that she would have them for an hour and send BB several texts about how the child was driving her nuts). My wife is exactly like this - half hour alone with the kids and I come home to hear about how they're driving her crazy. She never hears me complain about them and I take them out all day.

I sent BB a pm that went unanswered. I also posted in his thread several months ago asking how he was doing. His response was essentially "don't ask".

That's too bad - he sounds like a good guy stuck in a marriage that he can't extricate himself from (not saying that I'm a good guy, but I certainly could relate to him). His thread about why dad's don't complain about parenthood looked like something I could write.

ETA - he also started a thread about how his wife told him he was a bad parent. Now my wife has never done that, but for about a year when the kids were around 1-2 years old she would constantly berate me about how I did nothing right with them (and this extended to other things like driving). I was constantly told about how she had to watch what I was doing as she needed to make sure that I did it correctly, but if she had the kids alone for even a little bit I'd catch hell when I got home because she wasn't getting any help - I'd have them all day and we'd be fine. I'd walk on eggshells when I got home from work because she'd usually be in a bad mood (I should have asked her why she needed help because she's SuperMom and I'm an idiot). Better now, but still don't like going places with her when we have the kids.

BL is doing fine. She is enjoying life with her hubs and her son.

I am glad she is happy, but I will miss her "unique point of view" wisdom.

@Jellybeans

I remember her posts from when I first joined. Loved reading her posts. She was so down to earth and practical.

Yea, another great TAM'er gone. Her stats page does not show her last activity, but her last post was 05-26-2015, so it's unlikely she will ever be back.
