On a serious note...(and come on yous all can't say the above out loud and not snicker) eat versus aten (ate-n). Sometimes H mixes up sedation with seduction (I giggle at that when we talk about vet visits for the fur brats...lol I get this picture..oh never mind not here to pervert the innocence of people on this board).
Being a writer some things bother me like the difference between you're and your as well as its and it's or then and than.
I'm also a tech writer and copy editor so it drives me bat poo poo coo coo... lol
My husband's 1st language is Spanish so there are lot of funny things he says.
He gets his Vs and Bs mixed up and I love it. I never correct him because that's rude, he's a grown man, but we have a Ricky/Lucy relationship with our languages. When he's excited, I can't understand him for crap It's a mix of Spanish and English and even though I know Spanish, I still can't understand him.
Befriend never made sense to me. I think of behead. If you befriend someone, you become their friend. If you behead someone you take their head off. So with that logic, if you befriend someone, shouldn't you be not being their friend, I.e. taking your friendship away? Like taking a head away? Posted via Mobile Device

George Carlin does a great skit about these kinds of things, like when your ready for a flight and the stewardess tells you they are ready to pre-board. What does that mean? To get on before you get on???
