That is disappointing. Was looking forward to a little football tonight.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday

You do know that north of the border we're on week 7 of the regular season already, right?

Where to Watch: 2016 Broadcast Information - CFL.ca

I sure hope that when the NFL season gets underway they don't ruin it like they have up here with all the flags - penalty and challenge both. It's ruining the game of football

I have to admit, the concussion thing has cost me some of my enjoyment of the game. I was never a big follower of the college game, but it's starting to feel like you're just watching kids throw their futures away on the gridiron.

The NFL will spend millions prosecuting a guy who may or may not have known about a fart of air being released from a ball but can't spend any money getting the HOF field in Canton up to playable conditions.

Chalk up another win for Gutless Goodell.

The fundamentals of proper tackling are taught early. I think some of them think it only applies to those at the level below. Leading with the helmet (especially the crown) in the league where my son plays results in automatic ejection from the game. You can't help but make face mask contact, keep your eyes up.

Concussion awareness is exactly why at most practices, whistles are blown early (wrap up is all that is needed).

I've been hearing that it's not just the big hits you have to worry about - it's the accumulation of all of the little hits over the years that are almost impossible to remove from the game.

I think they're doing what they can, but the sport is fundamentally incompatible with a long term functioning brain.

Goddell has an agenda, he wants to be the most powerful thing there is in the game and he will strike down anything or anybody who dares challenge his authority.

True, it is as to why we realize, HS wrestling and martial arts like judo actually have higher incidence of concussion than football.

Re: American football 2016 - NFL, NCAA, local HS and others.

I really hope I die before the game of football becomes obsolete, but I won't be holding my breath. I can see the day when it will be either robots or virtual reality. Or flag football. Somehow, flag football doesn't appeal to me all that much.

Here's the quarterback for my CFL team. The team we played on Saturday got penalized FOUR TIMES for roughing the passer. He had his head bandaged and blood running between his eyes at one point.
