@EllisRedding How are you doing? Did you try the arnica?

Here's an interesting article that you all might enjoy: How Exercise Shapes You, Far Beyond the Gym -- Science of Us

This will be the longest 4 minutes of your life lol.

I added it to the end of my workout today! It definitely got my heart rate up! 😀

Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

Worked out today with my fiance, it was great...we pushed each other. Back workout and some isolated kettlebell and chest exercises.

Reverse flyes
Wide grip lat pull downs
Good mornings
seated cable rows
kettlebell swings
push ups
burpees
ab work - planks, and ab crunches with medicine ball
bicep curls

Then, 25 minutes of cardio on treadmill, just a fast paced walk on incline.

Off to having dinner with him soon. Hope you all had an awesome weekend!

I didnt get a chance to pick up, but I definitely will this week.

Honestly my body feels like it was nit it by a truck, no clue why. I exercised yesterday, but actually did less and nothing out of the ordinary. Today my body feels like it was the first time I had worked out in years lol. I read that one of the sides of the antibiotic is muscle/joint pain, so thinking that is part of the culprit.

Awesome, more effective at burning fat then your typical treadmill session, and in a much shorter time .

That sounds horrible. I would use the pills to help your whole body. The thing about arnica is that you should take it no less than 30 minutes after eating or drinking anything other than water and wait another 15 minutes before eating and drinking after taking it.

Do you think you might have the flu? I live in Washington State and we have an epidemic here.

Bicep or the bicep tendon?

A few Christmases ago I ruptured my right bicep tendon. I had surgery a week later to reattach it. I think it took about three months before it was out of the cast and about six months before unrestricted use. The cast was from the armpit to fingers rendering it useless. I had to do everything with my weak hand. Coding left handed was a bear.

I'm very careful doing hammers and skull crushers.

Flu epidemic out here in NY as well. When I first went to the Dr sick a few weeks ago I was actually tested for the flu and came back negative. The PA thought I just had a flu like virus. IMO it was either a sinus infection (sinusitis) or maybe a cold that led to the infection. They didn't put me on antibiotics right away but had me wait 4 days. Then I went on antibiotics, sinus infection got worse, and ultimately I went to a different doctor who switched the antibiotics (the one they put me on she felt was more appropriate for sinus infections, and since seems to have done the trick). Just can't seem to shake this last little bit.

Also, my W just sent me a text that my daughter is running a fever again this morning. Hopefully this isn't something new and why I felt like crap yesterday lol.

Did get my squats in today (10 sets) but skipped the accessory work as to not push myself too hard.

Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

Gonna go to the gym today and do the trial/check out pricing. Probably will only try cardio as I don't want to impede my performance for the hockey game this week

Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

6 mile run after work today, and it went better than expected, as I wasn't feeling so good most of the day. But, I really didn't want to skip so I pushed, and found enough good music on my phone to keep me going. lol Now, I'm feeling not so good again. :/

Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

Man, I'm sorry there are lots of illnesses going around right now. I hope everyone gets better soon!

I'm having a great week! All of this exercising I'm doing and eating better, has made me feel better. Ellis, I increased my bike HIIT to 10 cycles yesterday. I did a workout video from amazon prime this morning; it was ok. It was computerized which I thought was strange. But, that's alright. I like to change it up.
