Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

Think I finally turned the corner with whatever sickness I had. Got my Tuesday bench session and Wed deadlift session in, but still cutting back slightly on the accessory work. Next week starts up a new 12 week training cycle, so my goal is to go 110% for that (or die trying lol).

I forget the exact saying, but something along the lines:

I exercise so my body can feel good. My body hurts because I exercise!

One thing to add. My W uses the Peloton Spin Bike / Classes from home, and then on top of that she will do some videos from a site called Sweatflix

I had to be at work early today so i went to the first 30 min. of class this morn. Skipped toning. Figured i could at least get my cardio to keep the engine running. Better than nothing!

I'm sorry to hear that you haven't been feeling well either @*Deidre* .
Thanks for the well wishes, they worked. lol I'm feeling much better today. I ran today, about 3 miles, and slower but not feeling totally like myself yet, but didn't want to skip the day. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Re: Exercise Motivation Thread

I taught my first kickboxing class this week. It was an audition of sorts for me so the gym owner could make sure I wouldn't run her clientele off.

I will be teaching them once a week now...

The only drawback? I am losing an hour of training as I can't properly work and teach.

It works this week as it is a light week in the lead up to a BJJ competition, but I will have to find another hour in the week to work.

Side note, my 7yr old son is very meh when it comes to sports/activities, and at this age at least not terribly athletic (that can easily change if my side of the genes kick and not my Ws lol). He would rather hop on his ipad, play games, etc... We signed him up for Karate this past fall, and he has really taken to it (kind of surprised my W and I). He just finished his testing so now he has his yellow belt, and he keeps asking to do weapons training lol.

Unfortunately he thinks my ass makes a great punching bag when I am not looking
