Well, I have a bad case of the sads tonight. Springmaid Pier in Myrtle Beach was pretty much obliterated today by Hurricane Matthew. I practically grew up on that pier. But that pales by comparison to all the life lost here and elsewhere.

Hurricanes suck.

Re: What are you watching?

I just watched the "Black Cat' with Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. For a 1937 film it is fvcked up as hell. Necrophelia, torture, sadism, satan worship.... Damn.

Sounds like a plan! If you haven't watched it,then you might add the first season of Jessica Jones. She's intertwined in the Marvel multiverse as everything from a classmate of Peter Parker to Luke Cage's wife. Next up for Netflix,Iron Fist in March and The Defenders...Daredevil,Jessica Jones,Luke Cage and Iron Fist. Couple of teasers...

Iron Fist
The Defenders

Re: What are you watching?

Just watched "Me Before You" and had an interesting conversation with my children about euthanasia.

The guy could have lived, loved and received love as well as giving the girl he loved $ to have a more fun life. She would have preferred it that way. So she gets to have lots of $, marry someone else someday and miss her first real love for the rest of her life. Meh. Too much of a fairy tale. If he had been poor and a negative, sarcastic jerk, would she have fallen in love with him in the first place? Probably not.

Re: What are you watching?

Stranger Things was wonderful! We "binge-watched" it the first weekend it was on Netflix. Can't wait for season 2 next year!

Gettin' our creepy on for Halloween (which is pretty much year-round here)...

American Horror Story
The Exorcist (tv series, surprisingly creepy)
Scream Queens
The Returned (original French one)
Tales from the Dark Side (love these old shows... the intro music still makes me squeal like a little girl!)

If you like Empire you should give the show Power a try. I watch both, I think Power is a bit better than Empire (50 Cent is one of the creators and producers).

I haven't seen that film in that years, I remember seeing it as a kid back in the days we had 3 channels and only one stayed on air all night haha.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday

Same with me. My dad would let me stay up late on Friday night. Back then at least one of the local TV stations would always have a late night horror movie on Friday nights. They would play those campy old horror flicks like "The Raven" with Vincent Price, or "Haunting of Hell House", ' or "Them" ...about the giant ants. Those were classics. I ate that stuff up.

I saw Them about a month ago on amc. Whenever I find those old horror or sci fi flicks I end up watching them. My lone late night channel used to also run a ton of Charlie chan, mr. Moto flicks.

The new season of Shameless (US version), this is one of my favorite shows on TV you can catch old seasons on Netflix.
