Re: Perfumes and colognes: What's your pick?

@heartsbeating, I also love ylang ylang and diffuse essential oils in the home regularly.

I have two perfumes I've worn for the last few years. I've found very few scents I can personally identify with. I'm kind of overdue for a change or new addition, but Aqua di Gioia and Ralph Lauren Romance have been my favorites for a long time.

Odo wears Obsession, which may seem a bit corny (?) but it actually reacts well to his natural pheromones and chemistry. He uses old spice deodorant.... Don't ask me why but it drives me crazy. He calls it "crazy for the Old Man smell." :-D

I've been wearing this cologne called Grenade. It smells really good and it's not expensive. Looks like a grenade and you pull the pin out to spray it.

For aftershave I use Taylor's of Bond Street sandalwood. Sandalwood usually smells gay on men, but this stuff has a darker burliest quality to it.

Tom Ford, Black Orchid for me, and my fiance wears Acqua Di Gio. Sometimes, just his natural scent smells *mmm*...like after he showers and doesn't put any cologne on.

I also buy the Old Spice brand of Deodorant. I use the "Sport" version, which is an oxymoron for older men. But the fragrance is not "old man", although old is a relative term.

The newer line of Old Spice soaps and deodorants smell very nice. I too use the sport variety.

Re: Perfumes and colognes: What's your pick?

This stuff can have POWERFULL affects. My late wife wore two “Design” or “sunflower” whenever we were out having fun. When she passed, I kept both bottles. I have also just come from smelling both and WOW the waves of memories that I am now awash in. Sweet & Melancholy, sad and happy. Seems to hit a primitive cord in me.

My now wife has her own style, liking Green Tea /Spiced Green Tea & Red door. I’ve picked out a few for her; and while she will wear them for me, she prefers her own. Good for her.

Me nothing. But fun fact here; when I was 8 (1975) & dumpster diving, I found someone had thrown out a dozen bottles of perfume. I had open all and dumped them into a large jar spilling a lot on myself. When Dad came to pick me up he made me strip and put my clothes in a bag, I then had the pleasure of a shower with the garden hose & dish soap.

I know people make fun of Old Spice but my Grandpa wore it and whenever I get a whiff, it brings back fond memories.

Dove soap and Palmolive Dish Soap remind me of my Grandma.

F it. I dig Old Spice too. I usually just use the deodorant though.

Yes it's sport variety Odo uses. I'll have to look for the soap.

I use the shower body wash too sometimes. That might be what he means by soap.
