Re: The Dinner Thread

Pork with brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries.

For those of you that love sprouts, I recommend making it this way. Trim your sprouts then roughly chop. Heat olive oil in pan. Peel and chop up an apple. Toss your sprouts and apples in the pan. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on medium high heat (until some sprouts are getting brown on edges). Once done, add a few tablespoons of lemon zest and the juice of 1/2 lemon, and a sprinkle of dried cranberries. Season with salt and pepper. One of my favorite ways to make them.

Every time I see your food posts I think, "fvck that's delicious". Have you seen that show on Vice?

Thanks cannot wait to try this.

Re: The Dinner Thread

Looking good. For sprouts I like to render bacon and sautee them in the fat, finish them off with balsamic and add the lardons at the plate.

Sigh, my wife gives me the speaking treatment.

No, never seen it!

In the past year or so, we've cut back alot on processed food. I generally enjoy cooking. But there are certainly days that I don't feel like it. Lol.

Steak spinach salad served with chimichurri. There's couscous at the bottom and mushrooms in the salad. Dressing is olive oil, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Very easy to make! I have a large cast iron pan that is wonderful! It's takes a little bit of time to get it seasoned, but once you do, it's easy to clean. We never actually put it away because we use it so much.

Tonight, we're ordering pizza though. Or subs.
