It gets that much bigger as you get older? Hot damn! Or maybe just to hold their sagging balls?

As a side note, its been quite a while since I had been to a concert. And damn, $40 for a basic t-shirt? Have to really like a band for that.

Yeah, the price of concerts is ridiculous! Especially the big names. Then you get a couple of drinks on top of it, pay for parking, get a t-shirt, etc. It's quite a dent in the wallet!

Re: Concerts

Cool topic. I'm a big concert and Broadway fan. Love live stuff.
So I'll list just the recent ones:

Panic! At the Disco
Fall Out Boy
21 Piolots
Hells Belles (female AC/DC cover band)
Weezer
Maroon 5
Motley Crue Final Tour

A few country singers that DH tells me were big names. I don't remember them and am trying to erase the memory lol. Long live rock n roll!!

Ciao,

Spicy

I used to go to quite a few concerts back in the late 70s and early 80s. Saw quite a few acts like Bob Segar, Van Halen, The Who, Heart, Rush, ZZ Top (three times, and I can't remember any of them ), Aerosmith, etc. The tickets were generally around 10 bucks or so. The Rolling Stones tickets in '81 went for $25, and that was an outlier.

In the past half dozen years I've seen Clapton and Segar, and it was a major investment. I mean, damn.

On the upside, my Segar Tshirt from 1978 still fit.

Hear ya. Like I said, luckily my wife won the tickets. Otherwise I believe they were around $55 for nose-bleed level seats. Also luckily we have decent parking near the arena that is free.(Lincoln big enough to get some name acts, but not big enough that all parking in the same zip code is expensive)
Not a big drinker so my wife and I splitting a soda was all we needed.

And t-shirt? Nah. Very few bands I like that much. Most that I would are long since dead or broken up. Hendrix, Zeppelin, Beastie Boys, Rage Against the Machine (though Prophets of Rage might be cool to go to).

Awesome list! I bought Bon Jovi tickets not too long ago and spent nearly $400! And NO, they're nothing special like VIP passes. It's brutal!

Saw Iron Maiden, David Gilmour and Coldplay last year. Seeing Gilmour was amazing since Pink Floyd is my favorite band ever.

Same here. U2 is a close 2nd.

I'm hoping to catch the best PF tribute band this spring. Not as good as the original of course, but pretty damn good.
