@FeministInPink and @Hope1964 - a book recommendation
FeministInPink - If you haven't already read it, the best book that I have ever read about the writing process is On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft by Stephen King. I don't usually find books like this gripping ... but I've re-read my copy so many times that it is beginning to lack structural integrity. His is a very interesting mind to be inside of. Hope1964 - have you read it? I almost skipped it because it wasn't in the box that I had him in. But I am so glad that I didn't.

I am reading some Nora Ephron essays - but I'm not quite brave enough for Heartburn yet.
And I'm steeling myself for Old Yeller (I read with my kids) - VERY SAD!

I have learned now that while those who speak about one's miseries usually hurt, those who keep silence hurt more.

I have not read that one - something to look for. THANKS!!!

People don't get a free pass to cheat just because their marriage sucks.

I've read On Writing multiple times, it's one of my favorites as well.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm open to others.

Re: What are you READING? 📚

My mom used to keep a list, so when she went to garage sales, she'd know if she'd already bought a book.

I'm currently re-reading (for the third time) the Cal & Niko series by Rob Thurman; I just can't get enough of the brotherhood/loyalty/protectiveness stuff in those books, so deftly written about.

Oh, and also How We Got The Bible by Lightfoot. Good stuff.
