23 and me

Anyone hear anything about this genetic test to find out more about your genetic makeup?

I was on ancestry just last week looking at those tests you can buy. I'd love to do it. I just think it's a little weird that they would have my DNA on file though.

OTC tests will tell you your genetic ancestry. Cute to know but mostly irrelevant.

Some say they test if you are a carrier of certain conditions

What do you want to know?

Re: 23 and me

My Dad and my Uncle (mom's brother) have both had it done. It was interesting. It confirmed what I already knew about my ancestry. Irish, English, Spanish, with a little of Scot. There was even a smidgen of Greek in there.

I really want my husband to do it. While we know his mom is of Ukranian and Polish descent, we are not sure of his dad. His last name is traditionally Italian, (I'm always being asked if my husband is Italian), but his dad's family came here by way of Mexico in the late 1800's and settled in southern Arizona.

I want to know my health genetics, I don't care about my ancestry. I want to know if I am predisposed to anything.

This is a great service. I signed up for it years ago when it first came out.

Note: you have to input your health data for it to become a meaningful product.

Based on your DNA and your inputted data, they can give you odds on health, longevity.

Your ancestry and heritage is very interesting and revealing. They give you the option to get in touch with close relatives, if you choose.

I have 3.5% Neanderthal DNA in me. Who would have thought that?

My makeup?....... 50% Northern European, 50% Finn..

I can hardly wait for the responses from my fans. Fan the flames.

I don't know.....

I'd be flattered if they cloned me without my consent.

I always think about Multiplicity whenever I hear about cloning. I don't think anyone would want to clone me but I would like to have another tropicalbeachiwish to do all of my work/chores!! 😁

I'd get one of those tropical clones to be my cook.
