Calendar

What calendar app do you use for your phone? Or are you paper calendar type of people?

Re: Calendar

For work stuff, I use my Outlook calendar.

For personal stuff, I do have google calendar on my phone however I have a good old fashioned calendar hanging on my frig at home and that's the primary calendar. It's a struggle to get my husband to actually write on it (it's getting better though). To be honest, my life isn't very hectic. Ok-not hectic at all.

Re: Calendar

There are apps for that? <sigh> Of course there are - I knew that! I rarely carry my phone, though. I use Outlook and a wall calendar at work, and a wall calendar at home that has a lot of stuff clipped to it.

Re: Calendar

I've been using the Week Calendar app on my phone for several years. It's not flashy and does lack some of the seamless integration with other applications - weather, social media, etc. - that some people genuinely use. But, it was inexpensive ($2) and does everything I need it to do. I like that I can assign a different color to various people/situations, so I can very easily see who has to be where and when.

Re: Calendar

We use COZI on our iPhones. Nice little app - you can create multiple people within the account and manage your whole family. If you and your spouse both download it to your phones and share a password, you phones are linked with Calendar, Shopping list, To-Do list etc.

That's with the 'free app' - the upgrade is relatively expensive - somewhere around $60usd a year. Yup - yearly fee. But apparently has many more options and coordination tools. Needless to say, we use the free app and it works just fine for us. I just need to remember to keep looking at it each day so I don't miss kids activities, etc.

Re: Calendar

I like the google one because when there is an event I can send invitations to others. Saves me that "you didn't tell me . .." accusation.

Re: Calendar

Google calendar .... I like that it can synch with amazons echo dot. That's the only way the rest of the family will pay attention.

Franklin Day Planner...since 1986. Works. Never crashes. Once ran a $350 million business with it. Works nicely now too.

Oh, BTW guys with smartphone/laptop/tablet/PC calendars....Tuesday is Valentine's Day.

Re: Calendar

I use my google calendar on my phone for personal things and I live by it. At work, i use outlook AND a paper calendar. I work in the legal field and even though where i am currently, we dont necessarily have deadlines per se, but back in law firm life I learned to always have a hard copy just in case servers go out. Missing deadlines is a huge no-no.

Re: Calendar

I use the Apple calendar. It syncs with my Mac and phone. I can include my husband and kids so they get notifications and can add to their own calendar.

Re: Calendar

Same here. I use the stock Apple calendar. It sychs with my office Outlook but I don't mix work stuff on my personal devices any more. I'm much more relaxed away from the office now. I use an At-A-Glance weekly calendar that I basically use to track to-do's.
