Yeah, I know, and sometimes, they show up at your door and its like, Yep, your the one. so I am just letting my instincts lead the way like always. A good connection is something you know right away, people don't trust it enough. Many people confuse lust with a connection.

I know a guy... did the photography for their wedding.. he's 20 yrs older.. his son is 24 yrs older than their new baby, talk about an age difference ! - this being his little brother...

Dad will be over 70 when this son graduates...

Personally I'd not want to date an older man...but it works for some...seen a # of threads on this here.. you'd be surprised how many women don't seem to mind that, even want them older .. so who is to say.. all depends on the woman.. If you are successful, still looking fit & healthy... that's a plus...

My partner is 11 yrs older than I am. If he was younger, he might want kids (except that he's not sure he would ever want to get married again!), but he recognizes that if he started RIGHT NOW, he would be mid-60s when the oldest/first kid graduates high school, and he realizes that's not ideal. Which is a relief for me, because I DON'T want kids--that would be a lot of pressure, and a deal breker for me.
