Indie/international music

What good sources have others found for downloading independent and international music that is not available through standard sources such as Amazon and iTunes? I've tried Spotify and the sound quality of some of their MP3s is terrible.

Re: Indie/international music

There aren't any.

I've done a couple projects with Pandora and a couple other streaming music or metadata providers (lolz) and with my very peculiar music tastes they rarely had more than a couple albums worth listening.

What kind of international? My tastes are obscure European rock and jazz, from Flairck to PFM to Ekseption to Bjelo Dugme (bhahaha it was a gift)... Good luck finding stuff like those online...

Re: Indie/international music

Alas, we have a $500k+ sound room at work for audio work. Very few people can tell FLAC from lossy forms at high bitrates.

Also, few things are recorded well enough these days. It's a good idea to buy lossless of course if you can find it.

A friend remastered Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon from European vinyl onto FLAC using work equipment. Light-years better than store CD 😁.
