Re: Live in nanny?

Where do I submit my resume?

Btw, I'm very popular with the bunnies 🐰 in my neighborhood.

Re: Live in nanny?

Nah. I worked with the architect and helped design it. Yet it's not quite old money design. After 15 years I think the design is pretty good. But definitely not old money.

Nannies make financial sense for more than one child. Around here daycare is easily $200-225 a week, probably more. At $1k per child per month it's cheaper to get an au pair or even regular nanny. We lucked out and got spots at the university child care center which was subsidized a little for faculty / staff (I was staff) Even after school care wasn't cheap.

Here a lot of women are married to execs who entertain a lot etc or the wives are expected to do community service type work (PTA meet Game of Thrones) plus the money is there, might as well. A few of my Indian co-workers bring their parents for six months at a time. Up to 2-3 years it works well.

The guy across the street had a Latvian au pair, he proceeded to cheat on his wife who had a revenge affair with one of his employees... Oh well. To look like Farrah Faucet and get cheated on by a 20 year old young college student who looked like the Michelin Man... A very ugly divorce followed...

If you're potential employer is a guy don't bother with the resume.

A picture will more than suffice.

We aren't rich and we were able to pay for one.

In our case it was cheaper and A LOT more convenient.

Daycare centers were charging us $2200 a month for 2 kids at one point.

It is a gamble though. If you get a trouble maker, it's a horrible experience. We got one that was great, never gave us any problems.

Just make sure that she's old, fat and ugly.
