People usually address me as 'your Magesty'; but, whatev.

I think Rowan looks like an Elaine.

I think Ele looks like a Judy.

ok, I'm leaving.

Re: What's in a name?

When our daughter was born we already had a name picked out for her. It was from red-headed character on a t.v. show that we watched at the time. We liked that it was a boy name but the character was a girl. Our daughter blew us away when she was born with red hair. It was totally not on our radar as I'm brunette and he's blond and no family living is a red head.

Re: What's in a name?

In my case, my first and middle names are an insult. People have told me my name is "cute." That's all well and good, but I'm not 5'1"/100 lbs. and "cute." Not a darned thing is cute about me. I've always hated my name. My dad took a proper name and made it a nickname because "people will always call her by her nickname anyway." My mother's middle name is also my middle name. DEFINITELY not a name I would ever pick. When I was around 10, I remember begging my parents to change my first name. Crummy parents. Crummy name. Meh!

I'm saddled with it, but I don't like it. Not. One. Bit. My username is nothing remotely like my real name.

See? I just proved I'm not "cute."

I refuse to make anyone a priority in my life who considers me nothing more than an option.

You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep re-reading the last one.

My mom purposely named me a name that really can't be made into a nickname. She wanted to name me Jennifer but she knew people would shortened to Jenny or Jen. I kind of glad she didn't name me that, it was a very popular name at the time and I would've been one of many.
