If you think life is fair, read this. Then think again.

Ok, so here's the story.

A guy and a girl who have a child decide to end their relationship. She sues him for support of their 4 month old child. He then conspires to have her tortured, strangled and killed, and then feeds her body to his dogs.

"The court heard how he conspired with friends who tortured and strangled the model, then disposed of 'the body by feeding it to the footballer's Rottweilers," noted Watts. Bruno has admitted his role in the plot".

After confessing his role in orchestrating the murder, he is subsequently convicted and is given a 22 year sentence but is released after less than 7 years. Just a few short weeks after he is released he is signed to a contract for a professional sports team that is probably worth millions.

Fans are thrilled and can be seen posing for selfies with this confessed murderous soccer goalie. About the only people who seem to be opposed are the family of the murdered woman and perhaps their child who has a killer for a father and will never know his mother.

Good Lord! Too bad he doesn't play ice hockey. He wouldn't last ten minutes in the arena.

"There she was strapped to a chair and beaten for six days by a gang of Bruno’s cronies — including his wife, another *former lover, his teenage cousin and a former police officer, Marcos Santos.

It is claimed Bruno himself watched as Santos committed “barbaric tortures” on the victim, playing music to drown out her screams before strangling her with a tie in front of her son."

The gang who tortured Eliza received sentences of between five and 22 years, while Bruno was sentenced to 22 years and three months. The judge said he had “meticulously calculated” the execution, and it emerged Bruno had tried to kill himself twice while *awaiting trial.

The lengths some men will go to avoid paying child support:

"Eliza, 25, had paid a deadly price for having a baby with one of Brazil’s top footballers, Bruno Fernandes de Souza, who arranged her murder to avoid paying child support."

One of the deepest feminine pleasures is when a man stands full, present, and unreactive in the midst of his woman's emotional storms. When he stays present with her, and loves her through the layers of wildness and closure, then she feels his trustability, and she can relax. -- David Deida, The Way of the Superior Man

I am not surprised, it is Brazil and football is much more important than a human life. After all she probably had it coming to her....(tongue in cheek there).

Re: If you think life is fair, read this. Then think again.

Since maybe age ten did I ever think life was fair. At first blush I was a bit shocked at the story but then after a few seconds to think, it evaporated.

Re: If you think life is fair, read this. Then think again.

I never thought life was fair which is why I made it fair by doing whatever it took for life to go my way. I think that those who believe that life is fair are in for disappointment and instead of taking action to change life, they will let it take them along for a ride. It may turn out good because the odds are 50/50. I preferred to stack the deck and count cards so that I have had a very good life. I may have climbed over the backs of a lot of people, but it was their decision to not prepare for opportunities when they knocked.

Many prefer to drown in a pool of their own morality rather than seek the safety of a different morality.

Cool Re: If you think life is fair, read this. Then think again.

That would have never happened in Central Texas!

With a jury here, he would have been seriously courting "the needle!" Which is far more humane than his wife ever had the privilege of receiving!
