2nd time - I got the slate tile. Bamboo is already laid though. Believe it or not, my mother had about a pallet of the very slate I wanted. I knew she had it a few years ago, but she told me it was gone. I find it yesterday...lol. And we got a few small cedar trees were going to have milled for our counter tops. Sooooo.. cost of tub/shower surround = 0 dollars, cost of cedar countertops = $40 for milling.. this is turning out to be a fairly in expensive addition of a bathroom. Yay for me.

We did think about that... for a minute. Do you know how hard it is to get a wood floor up? There's probably a million very large staples to rip out. Okay not quite a million, but enough to make it a painful process

they should be nails.
not hard, especially for something as small as a bathroom.
i will come and do it for you, just so the floor can be done right the first time.

well, second time :/

Hah... He most certainly has worked down there... In fact, that's where he's scheduled this week coming up . You do electrical? Hmmmm... I might want to see what you would charge for this job... Our other guy is dragging his feet, and we are getting close to wanting to get that done.

Thanks. I'm even more impressed that the entire bathroom cost less than $1K, thanks to deep discounts and good friends and a lot of hardwork by hubby

Special shout out to habitat homestore, lowes and my mom
