Not me. Talk about overrated. I remember a friend and I going to see it. We knew that the next few trips to the theater were probably going to be Star Wars, so we're choosing between The Matrix and The Mummy. Decided Matrix would probably be better to see on the big screen. Walked out asking, "That's it? A few spiffy special effects slapped onto a pretty standard cyberpunk story?". (First warning shoulda been Keanu Reeves. Any movie starring him is already handicapped in quality.)

Near the end of the year, saw The Mummy on DVD, and immediately knew we'd made the wrong decision on which to see in the theater back in May.

always like Lost but not sure if you consider it strictly sc-fi, Alcatraz so far seems to be a bit stale but I am hanging in to see if it gets better

so last night the wife and I were bored and browsed Netflix and saw they had Sliders. We watched this when we first dated so we put it on. It was no where near as good as I remember it being. Concept was neat (stuck traveling between alternate universes), but execution was awful. For starters, it's hard to accept Jerry O'Connell as a genius. The character of the Crying Man was difficult to watch as he is a borderline minstrel character. (I almost expected him to scream at one point, "Feets don't fail me now!") To add the computer animated special effects were extremely dated.
