Do you ever watch a SciFi movie where one or two redeeming characteristics almost save it from being an absolutely horrible movie?
For me, Priest was that movie. Karl Urban's vampire character contained the 60 seconds that was sadwiched between really bad movie scenes. I'm talking about the scene where the vampires were destroying the small western town, contrasted with his enjoyment of classical music.
I went to college on a literary scholarship of all things, although I changed to applied mathematics (Geek, I admit). One of my professors maintained that Sci-Fi and Fantasy were fundamentally flawed literary forms because its writers were largely engineers, who thought of literary prose as a series of binary digits.
