So anyway, I'm out to dinner, and I order my default drink, a Bud Light (yeah, I'm a redneck on a perpetual diet) and I hear the guy at the next table mumble something like "some people have no taste in beer".
Ok, I don't really care what some stranger on a train thinks of my taste in beer, but it did get me to thinking maybe I should try something new.
So what's your favorite beer? And if your favorite is kinda obscure, what's your favorite mainstream beer?
Full Disclosure: I'm drinking a Bud Light as I write this.

OK, you screwed up, it happens. Now apologize. But apologize just once. Make it loud, clear, short, to the point, and directly to those you trespassed against. Then move on.
Beer to have with a meal = Abita Amber (local) or Sam Adams. Beer to drink watching football, out on the boat, on the beach or any other time = Bud Light. Miller Light is for wussies.
Killians is up there in my list along with blue moon, Oberon, Heineken, corona with a lime of course, old style, nut brown ale, and Guinness to name a few
I dunno, but if you'd asked that guy at the table next to you, in the right way, he probably would have treated you in return for you honoring his knowledge and substantial research in that area.
Dude, the best beer is the free one.
I like WuXing beer. It's made by the PLA, in their downtime.
Good stuff. The cap is kind of cute, too (5 stars, like the name).
Tsingtao is nice as well.
Before you turn your nose up at TsingTao Beer, consider that it was developed in a German settlement in China, before WWI. I have been to QingDao and it is very German indeed. The beer is as well, but it is done with flair. Any improvement that could have been made to a German beer, was done in China, due to the climate there the ingredients are high quality. While in that area, I also toured a vineyard (and turned down an offer to sign on as a GM). I think that perhaps the beer manufactured for export to the US is a bit different. Or it is damaged somewhat in shipping due to temperature variations...that works both ways as in the 'old days' my boss's daughtter was getting drunk every day at school - 8 years old! Turns out the issue was the juice boxes in her lunch - they were shipped in a very hot hold on a boat - and fermented!
Bud Light and similar beers are like making love in a canoe, it's fvcking close to water
I am a beer snob through and through I only drink "craft beers"
