It's grapefruit juice and vodka with salt around the rim. When I'm not drinking beer or tequila, it's what I drink.
First time I ever got drunk was on screwdrivers and gladiators. Nearly poisoned (which was pretty intense for my undeveloped liver)

I couldn't stomach the smell or taste of OJ for over 4 years.

So what's a gladiator, Lon? Sounds intense.

A large glass of orange juice (some people put 7up and/or vodka in the oj)
in a separate shot glass mix Southern Comfort and Amaretto then drop it in the OJ and slam it back.

My first drink was a shot of tequilla with a salted lemon as a chaser.... and said shot was about half a coffee cup full.... Ever since then Tequilla has always been my drink of choice. Of course I love drinking it straight from the bottle too.

yeah, everyone seems to love them... I think they just had less pleasant experiences. I think the vodka was a sneaky little trick my old college room mate did to get me drunk faster. Some chick was trying to get him and he made her break in her credit card, between the three of us we had a dozen of those and 4 pitchers of beer. that was an interesting night. ugh, why am I reliving this??

I'm with your husband. No lites for this die-hard dark beer lover. Nope.

I'm hung-over from knocking back too many Guinness and Hefeweizens at a jazz concert last night so I'm sipping on water with electrolytes and staying off all alcohol for the rest of the evening!

Since he's a fan of imports and micros, you should have him try Chimay (Red Label's my fav) and Mac and Jacks African Amber Ale...fantastic stuff!
