Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime - just incredible! Brilliant! Fantabulous!
Empire - pretty good.
Everything else - eh...
How does that happen???

Re: Looking for Metal Brethren Who Have Gone Through Puberty
Remember that record club that you would join for a penny, pick out a bunch of cassettes (or albums) and then every month they would send you a cassette you didn't ask for and charge you? Then you have to cancel your subscription? I think it was Columbia House.
I didn't cancel my subscription soon enough and they send me a casseette called OPERATION MINDCRIME by a band I had never heard of, Queensryche. Instead of sending it back, I opened it to check it out AND BLOWN AWAY.
Within a week I had bought every Queensryche release (which wasn't many back in 1987). My favorite song on there is Suite Sister Mary.
To this day I am a huge fan even though Geoff Tate can no longer hit the high notes.

Very funny my Dear Mrs. T. It was a dive bar that paid homage to Woody the Woodpecker! Classy joint!

Introduce us all....with 10,000 songs how do you decide what to listen to? I'm ready for some new discoveries, getting tired of the same old stuff.

Mellowed a bit in my old age. Been on a Foo Fighters kick as of late. I know it's not metal.....but it still rocks pretty hard.

Was reading a Clive Cussler novel, and a science experiment had gone awry, turning men into white-haired, green-skinned mutants with red eyes.
I immediately thought of Eddie!

I have some type of metal music type brain, inherited it from my father (one of the only good things he ever gave me). You could give me one rock song that you love, and I could find you a metal equivalent that you would love.
Yes, I am METAL WOMAN - SUPER HERO

My room was covered with Maiden posters as a kid. Always woke up with The Trooper looking at me. LOL
