I've been to pretty much every major city in the US multiple times, and a lot of smaller ones.
I've also been to some very cool national parks:
Maine - Acadia National Park
California - Lassen Volcanic Park, Yosemite, Sequoia, Redwood, Death Valley
Oregon - Crater Lake
Maui - Mt. Haleakala
Outside the country, I've gone to:
Bahamas
Cancun/Cozumel
Tijuana
Australia - Sydney, Gold Coast
Greece - Athens, Santorini, Ios
London
India - Agra, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai
Former Yugoslavia - Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia
Dhubai
Vancouver
Would take me an hour to list all the places, but I can say that my very favorite was a cruise to the Greek islands and Turkey. I am a scenery and history nut, and I was in heaven! The cruise ship had an open air dining room, and to see the day's island come into view while we ate breakfast was divine. Greek and Roman ruins, tropical and dry, windy islands, deep blue Mediterranean sea, and a veranda cabin with my husband. Best memory of my life so far.
Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Cameroon, Mozambique, Namibia, France, Belgium, Switzerland, the UK, Soviet Union, Canada, every state except Hawaii.
Location: On a clear day, I can see Mt. Rainier ... but you can't count on the days to be clear here ...

How was Maine? Did you visit the coast?
See the leaves turn color? Eat fresh lobster?
Did you camp or stay in cabin at Acadia park?
I want to take the wife to Maine. Never been to that part of the country.
Maine is wonderful, beautiful coastline, both beachy and rugged. Both times I've been there were in summer, so did not see leaves changing colors.
The first time, we stayed in Waterville where my boyfriend's family lived at the time. We used that as our home base, then went to Bar Harbor and Acadia and explored all around.
The second time, close friends rented a cottage in Ogunquit late in the summer season (when the water was warmest!).
And yes, lots of fresh lobster, shrimp, everything! It's amazing to stop at a roadside shack for THE best shrimp and lobster I've ever had. Yum!
