It's easy, you skip one or two full days of eating (not back to back) then go back to eating like normal. So you start with breakfast Monday and then don't eat anything until breakfast Tuesday. You'll shave off about a pound from your diet and not feel tired or hungry if you drink enough water. If that's too much then make it a daily 12-16hr fast. You'll lose weight without without going crazy and look forwards to two big meals a day.
Do you exercise while on this fast? Do you notice your energy is lacking? Does your stomach hurt from hunger?
I usually don't do work out videos but I need cardio badly and when I look at the boring treadmill, it just makes me want to go to sleep.
So I ordered a beginners ZUMBA DVD last night. Anyone into Zumba (I know you guys talked about it somewhere in these posts, but you all know how lazy I am)

I lift weights completely fasted and smash records all the time. I've even done it after 2 full day without food, but it was tough. Now I did need more rest at first in between exercises but I got used to it fairly quicky.
You will feel tired at first and maybe a little depressed when blood sugar dips, but as soon as you start moving around you'll feel normal and it's only temporary..... a little caffeine like a diet coke helps. Then later on you'll get hornier and feel more energized.
My stomach does hurt when I get dehydrated but if I keep drinking water throughout the day I feel fine. I don't get constipated or anything, and my appetite will competely go away after a while.
Honestly, there are some days I can do 24 standing on my head, workout like an animal, and then eat like a viking, but most of the time I need a piece of fruit a few hours before the gym. I would say to shoot for 24hrs but take your a day off and see how you react vs. a daily 12-6. I just do better with heavy thinking when I skip breakfast and lunch and then double up on dinner.
I guess I joined a little bit late. Fitness is not rocket science, since my separation soon to be divorce. I got into top shape of my life. Hired personal trainer, and changed my diet. My soon to be ex-wife said WOW you look amazing. Me 5.9 weight 165-170 body fat 10% My routine eat 6-8 times a day to increase metabolism and stay away from carbs. Keep in mind this is guy’s diet.
Morning: Protein and little bit of carbs (oatmeal and spoon of peanut butter)
10am salad and little bit of lean protein ( chicken, turkey, beef)
1pm 6oz of chicken and 4oz of brown rice with vegetables
4pm 4-5 oz of pasta and protein ( chicken, turkey, beef)+sliced green apples with spoon of peanut butter. (for energy)
6pm Gym 20 minutes of cardio running, and 20 min of Stairmaster muscle confusion, then workout no more then 50 minutes 1 group of muscles every day
8.30pm 1 scoop of protein powder mixed with water (32 grams per servings) you can buy powder too, as a meal replacement but you don’t need so much protein.
9pm Fish with vegetables.
I cut all the carbs after 6pm. I also eat egg whites. I drink 3 liters of water every day. No sugar, no sweets. Workout 5-6 times per week. Cardio 4 times a week. The whole point decrease carbs and increase burning calories. Eat as often as you want, but no junk food. Less sodium (you need sodium to retain some water) but not a lot. Eat smaller meals, eat less carbs. Stay away from refine sugar. Eat more vegetables, asparagus, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce. Make salad with squeezed lemon.
I found a cool trick tonigt!
I really wanted that pizza in the fridge but I'm dedicated to my fitness goals. And I'm a foodie... mean balsamic vinegar cooked chicken, extra cheese, red pepper... I was going to put a hurtin' on that pizza.
I figured I must be craving fats but I'm fasting and really don't want to insulin spike late at night. So I gave oil pulling a try, just 5min of swishing with olive oil and then a normal oral hygiene and I'M BACK!
They say dark chocolate also helps burn fat and gets you high! For me the 90% Lindt is like cocaine... so strong one square is enough vs. an entire bare of that waxy American crap.
You'll have to forgive me, I'm a chocoholic from birth and I only eat the good stuff.
Ok, last week I was just practicing; this week I'm playin the game for real

Yes! Dark 90% would be better but you could still eat chocolate and ice cream, just always in moderation.
Dark chocolate is the only chocolate I eat, I never go overboard. I get the individual DOVE wrapped dark chocolates. I suck on them until they are gone (like a hard candy, I know what you will write 2nd_time). Very satisfying.
I remember as a kid, when we would get the bag of assorted Hershey mini chocolate bars for Halloween at school, every single kid swapped my Mr. Goodbars with The Natural Darks. I cleaned up!!!!
