so, back to it today....lane all to myself and 100 lengths (about two miles)

I did this partly because I only went once last week and needed a good workout and partly because I wanted to make Browncoat

so you see BC, you are becoming my own personal trainer from the other side of the world and I don't have to pay you a penny

I could have gone all day today actually - some days I'm just like that

And Dolly, you're inspiring me to get swimming.

It's something I've thought about for a while. Used to swim quite a bit when I was a kid. I did a good stint of jogging for a while and found signing up for event runs was great motivation for me.

My goals are

a) get a bathing suit
b) hit the local pool
c) sign up for a run with hubs and get to training!

End of the year goal, to be fitter and more toned again, to have dropped a dress size and my hair to be blonde lol. Yes, I have a hair goal. ;p

I'd also like to get into tennis... but I think I just need to start with getting a bathing suit first and get to swimming and jogging again.

haha nice

I started out thinking just honey-tones but now I've moved out of my usual hair zone, a monster has been created! and I'm now going blonde, proper. But highlighted style and gradual. Anyway..... with hair color and condition in mind, go the swimming cap or just swim with head above the water for the most part?

An older couple we met a few times in the hood have invited us for tennis; my H doesn't really want to do it, but I thought it might be fun I don't know how to play. Should be interestig.

You literally did!!! I'm not even kidding my mouth fell open when I read 100. WOW!

Later this summer when the kids have more time to go to the pool regularly I'm going to have to see how quickly I tire myself doing laps.

Oh and just a thought Dolly on your hair, maybe a bit more red in it. That picture of you holding your infant in the "horrible" picture thread (I still think you look far from horrible in that picture ), your hair looks almost auburn. Not sure if that's your natural color or not but it goes well with your complexion imo (not that I'm an expert or anything).

I've not played tennis in years... but all I remember was keep your wrist straight, like your arm all the way to your hand is like a piece of iron. That helps your accuracy.

Bike 30 mins, 456 cal, 9.56 miles

Bench press (flat) 5x6, (decline) 5x6, (incline) 3x6 2x5 (got a bit tired)
Row 5x8
Shoulder press 5x6
Biceps curls 5x6
Triceps curls 5x6
Ab crunches

Looks like the weight is really coming off this week. Just a hair off from 20 lbs from starting weight. I'm adjusting my target weight down another 10 lbs as well (I think it's going to take more to get that totally flat stomach ).

I'll be honest I want more than a flat stomach... I want a 6-pack.

my hair hasn't been its natural colour since I was 14!!! it's very dark browny/red at the moment but I'm a bit bored with it. But blonde is a pain in the as* to maintain

oh, and my swim this morning apparently burned 745 calories!!

I've had a nasty cold going on for five days. I haven't worked out and I feel fat and miserable. I got up this morning looked in the mirror and saw this fat sick slob looking back at me. Bleh......

blah I'm still getting over my cold too, I can relate. I got out for a morning walk though and just that helped me feel a bit better - mentally.

Just keep taking care of yourself, you'll be better soon
