Still running 5k a day, so nothing too crazy. Today though, I got up and made banana split crepes for the kids and I; had them over last night. Then we headed off to my son's baseball tournament. It was about 10 o'clock before I remembered my feet, and I realized that they didn't hurt at all!
So I did my 5k run tonight. And in honor of my race this upcoming weekend, I did my big downhill section at "race pace". It felt ok, although my shins were getting a bit uptight by the end of it. My hill section that I train almost every day is about 800 meters at about a 6% grade. My race section is 9.4 km @ 4%. Should be interesting...
Physio appointment tomorrow evening, so I'll try to run in the morning. We'll see how that goes...
I've had some minor health things going on lately... so have yet to start swimming. I felt lousy but managed a good 45minute walk with the dogs. Wasn't up to jogging them, so went a different route again where I haven't walked before, and came across ANOTHER little gluten/lactose/preservative free organic cafe. Next door to a cute little coffee shop. I'm looking forward to taking hubs for a coffee!
Took the weekend off, and even cheated a bit on my diet (had a bowl of ice cream yesterday). Still though only put on a few pounds so not a big deal... I'm sure I'll get them off in a few days.
With summer coming on, and the temperatures on the rise, been trying to figure out when the best time to jog will be for me. Still looks like late at night, say around 8/9pm. Middle of the day during high heat and humidity is somehow not very appealing.
I will continue to work out every week day, health permitting. Woke up at 6am today, looks like I will need to set my alarm earlier if I want to make it back and shower before having to drive the kids to school at 8am once school starts.

But yay! Even though the scale is barely moving, these pictures say that my weight lifting, squats, lunges and situps are WORKING!
TG the differences are obvious, that's awesome!
Yeah sometimes we all hit weight plateaus... been on one myself up until a week ago. They are frustrating, but just keep doing all the right things and you'll crack that weight barrier. To be honest I'm not even shooting for a particular weight, but just a shape... so I don't let the scale bother me much. I just look at the mirror now and then and smile.

What would you all consider... "Low impact" exercises? I had assumed Taebo would be... but according to my hubby it's not and he is against me doing it.
