Just wondering if any of you here have your own blog?

I still don't even really understand *what* a blog is, but, I type just about as fast as I think, and I cannot manually form words on paper at nearly the same speed or in a legible fashion of any sort. So I've been considering a blog now, for days like today, where I seem to be high off rage.

anyone else use these things? are they private? does eveyone have free reign to read your insane thoughts?

I understand that speed of typing thing. In addition, I can't read what I write later whereas I can actually read what I type.

I participate in some technical blogs, but I don't own them. I also contribute to Wikis in my area of expertise. Additionally, I am required to publish a certain number of technical articles each year based on the work I'm doing, but these aren't really blogs as they go through full peer review and editorial processes before being put on the company website and linked to on our team website.

After I get through with that, and come here and make some posts I type at nearly the speed I think, I don't have much energy for a personal blog. I'm not that interesting anyway ... I doubt anybody would really care to read a personal, non-technical blog from me ...

Do you want to use it as a diary of sorts? Can be cathartic. Used to have one, but was required to delete it.

I have one - I love it. I've "met" some great people through it. There are tons of blog genres, you get to know the other people in your genre. So if your thing is antique cars, you get to know all the other people who are into antique cars It's a creative outlet, and you can make money off it if you do it right (I don't).

I really just need a place to vent all my random rage thoughts. I don't exactly want to share with the world my own perspective or have some sort of egotistical ideal that I am SO interesting that I need to share me with the world.

I just have terrible handwriting, (am a lefty) and I get tired of burdening my friends with my endless angry nonsense because I am naturally discontent.

if that makes sense.
