First concert you ever attended...

In The Wind's post (on another thread re: the great Chuck Negron & Three Dog Night) got me thinking...

I used to enjoy asking co-workers what the first concert was they ever attended (gives you interesting insight into people). When I was young (God, that phrase in itself dates me...), going to your first concert was almost as big as losing your 'V card'.

I liked Billy back in the 80's, just not a fan of him anymore

2nd concert was Peter Gabriel, that was awesome

Talk about hanging heads... first concert I was 12 and seen New Kids on the Block with New Edition . I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Well to this day I still think it is kinda cool. My now deceased grandfather and mother bought me the tickets for my birthday.

U2, The Joshua Tree Tour, with BB King opening. Given that Bono finished the lyrics shortly before BB got to the venue, we were among the first people to hear "When Love Comes to Town." The sound check (and a tiny portion of that night's performance) was in the Rattle and Hum movie.

Far too young to really remember my actual first concert but I want to say it may have included some Marley family members and/or the Whailers?

The first concert that I chose myself was Duran Duran. THAT i do remember and it was awesome.

I saw the U2 show circa 95 or so with Tool and Living Color Dallas Texas awesome show

Jimmy Buffet, Steve Miller & The Little River Band.

Had to drive 3 1/2 hours to get here and had a flat tire on the way, but worth all of it!
