Wow! Dolly...are you a bigger woman? I just can't imagine having something 6 pounds inside and NOT noticing. My tumor was 7 pounds and it was NOTICABLE!

hiccups during pregnancy: Neat story (I promise):
Our son (our youngest) is adopted. We were matched with his birthmom when she was 7 months pregnant. We made an agreement to have an open adoption (we are the parents, but we allow her to keep contact and want her to be open to answer his questions when he begins having questions. We also made agreements to share pictures, etc.)
My wife and I both just fell in love with our son's birthmom when we met her. She was all alone, very lonely, and Christmas time was coming up. On our first meeting, we asked her if there was anything she needed from us. She was very bashful, but summoned her courage and asked us if she could spend Christmas with us. It melted our hearts.
On Christmas eve, when she was at our house with the rest of our family, the baby got the hiccups. She got excited and wanted to share with my wife. After my wife got to feel him hiccup a few times, she asked if I could feel him hiccup. Now it would be VERY awkward for all involved for me to touch her, and everyone seemed to understand that without a word being spoken, but my son's birthmother wanted to share it with me, and my wife and I both wanted me to be a part of it as well. Feeling the signs of life was a HUGE part of the preganancy for me with our two homemade kids, and I was really sad because I thought I would miss all of that with an adopted child ... so when our son's birthmother agreed, my wife took my hand and gave it to our son's birthmother and she placed my hand on her belly so I could feel our son's signs of life. It was SO NEAT for me to be able to share those signs of life before my son was born ...

#%$@ TAM!!! It was a rooster long before it was an organ!!! FREE THE **** FROM THE EVIL TAM CENSORS!
1st pregnancy....I was 22. I didn't watch what I ate and never moved around. Gained 50 pounds (started at 110).
2nd pregnancy, I was 31. Watched what I ate, worked out, moved around...gained 50 pounds
I'm not meant to have babies. Seriously. I have gotten back to pre baby weight (2nd time around) so it's all good.
Weight was never an issue while pregnant or after (easy to drop it all back off). Now, I'm gaining! At an alarming rate, I am getting concerned enough to go see a doc.
Socks...I'll just start thinking of socks and it'll put me off my food...

That is a beautiful story, Shy_Guy. I think you and your wife are wonderful.
It was salsa for me, too. There was a period of a few days right at the end of my first trimester when I couldn't stomach anything except tortilla chips and salsa. And I had to stay away from frying meat at all costs.
