I'm with my crew my last year of college. It was about 5 months before I met my older daughter's father. The bald guy there was my love interest...well, more of just an interest. He was fun to hang out with.

My sisters and I.. They are twins. My gramma sent us these vests and pants. Wtf. Southern CA and she sends us vests My sister on the left is screaming in my ear because the angelic little one on my right is reaching over and PINCHING her arm. Oooh my mom took the picture and got them! LOL!


My bio-dad and my sisters. We have same dad, different mom. Their mom was awesome too. She passed away almost 8 years ago. Our dad passed 5 years ago.

My childhood home. That's me on the sidewalk in my Strawberry Shortcake sundress I love that house. My handprints are in the cement in the back. My stepdad's widow still lives there. Good memories in that neighborhood.

I do love my family. For all its faults and lameness and stupidity and disappointments, it's MY family perfectly imperfect and dysfunctional.

I love my friends too. Like family.

This is my stepdad. He married my mom when he was 42 and I was almost 4. They divorced after 9 years but he was still my dad. Until he wasn't. His new wife didn't like me and blah blah. ANYway, this man raised me. Coached my teams, let me tell him anything without judging, provided for my mom to stay home with me. He was a good guy, until he wasn't.


Me and my greatgramma She was 102 in this picture. She didn't have my grandfather until she was 41. Her father was a pharmacist and concocted a liquid birth control that she drank every day until she wanted kids. She was a cattle runner with my great grandpa. Cool lady. She taught me classical piano at age 99. That cat was named Shirley. She was evil.


Paul McCartney I got to meet him and in his tour DVD, I'm in it...takin' this photo


Drew Carrey. Ok, not really, but this is my grandpa...my mom's dad. That's my dad on the left. EVERYTHING about this photo screams awesome. That was my parents' home before me.

I think it's that it really tells a story. The way you are looking at the cat, gramma looking at the cat, the cat's ears pinned back. Your grandma's brooch - looks like a carnation in my eyes - and the pink carnations in the background and how your top is so bright amidst the muted/pastel colors. It just seems like a great photo to me.

And yea, I am the "picture keeper" of the family. I have hundreds of them.When my grandpa died, my gramma busted out a HUGE BOX of loose photos. Omg. From 1880 to 1990. We got some bins and just sorted through. Took us about 6 hours. Amazing time. She was the photo keeper. Now it's my job. Thankfully, we have computers to store them now not a big box.
