Windy: Are you a Pike? I have some great memories of some Pike friends down at LSU, when I was IFC President at another state university. FYI, I was a TKE!

Small world! We didn't have a chapter of Pikes at MSU(McNeese), but I ran IH-10 to Baton Rouge a lot to see my best friend whose brother was a Pike there. I'm telling you, they absolutely treated me like I was one of their own.

And we reciprocated by giving those Pikes a place to crash when they made trips over to Houston.

From Lake Charles, College Station was prohibitively too far for us to travel while Nacogdoches was a far more makeable trip. Heard some awfully good things about the StephenF gig, though! In hindsight, I should have tried to go up there since my parents had a lakehouse at the time up on Lake Sam Rayburn, which was not really all that far from there from "Naca-no-where!"

But we collectively pretty much stayed in the Lake Charles vicinty, where the drinking age was much nicer than in Texas; but we often partied with fraters from LSU, USL(Lafayette), NW State(Natchitoches), LaTech(Ruston), and NLU(Monroe), both home and away.
