Nickelback - So bloody generic. And when you can play two of their songs on top of one another and hear the same music....

Springsteen - Who died and made him "The Boss." As far as I'm concerned, one of the most overrated songwriters and performers in modern history. Why, he even made his speech to induct U2 into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame all about how awesome he was.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Some will say they only have one song. That's no true. They have two: the fast one and the slow one.

Sacrilege!

Seriously though, I think they are one of the better rock bands of the past few decades.

They actually put some thought and heart and soul into their music... imo at least.

What's more they actually put some thought into their lyrics (albeit they can be VERY abstract at times).

Oh well, to each their own.

i kinda agree and disagree i mean all of their songs are about socal and have the same melody dont get me wrong i like some of them especially the newer stuff Janes addiction is kinda in this category as well in my opinion

Definitely to each their own.

Personally, I think they rose to prominence on a gimmick and a catchphrase, then surfed the wave of the 90's music scene. They seem to me to have musical aspirations beyond their abilities. I don't begrudge people liking them (and admit that, as with Nickleback, enjoy exactly one of their songs). Aside from that one, though, I just don't get their appeal.

Guess this disproves the theory I was beginning to have that we're the same person, Browncoat. ;-)
