My wife is a hair stylist, one of the older ladies whose hair she does is experiencing severe hair loss so she started taking a supplement for hair/nail growth.
Biotin.
The lady stopped taking it because it caused her to gain weight and didn`t help her hair.
My wife has been trying to gain weight for awhile so she started taking this supplement and sure enough she`s gained 4-5 lbs in the past 2 weeks.(Been taking it 3-4 weeks)
The odd thing is I`ve been laid like tile for the past 8 out of 9 day/nights.
Laid well too, she`s been very very HD since taking this stuff.
I can`t find any info on side effects anywhere other than a mention that it can increase blood flow and can increase the male drive.
Anyone know anything about this stuff?
I love the sex but I`m a little concerned, what else it might be doing or if it`s the cause of her HD at all.
I've taken that off and on for several years... No weight gain (due to that anyway) or increased sex drive here My hair and nails grow pretty good though.

Biotin is awesome! It tends to increase energy, hence the sex. It sped up my metabolism, so I lose weight on it. It helps with cell turnover/regeneration so healing is increased, think cuts, scars. It is a B vitamin so it's water soluble. You can't od on it. The body absorbs what it needs and eliminates the excess. Wonderful along with other supplements for skin, hair and nails.
Not so happy side effects: it does cause the body to begin to purge nasty stuff out of your body. Breakouts can occur, especially the under the skin ones that you can't pop and they hurt. This is temporary. It can cause flushing, causing you to feel hot or warmth. Negative to some, funny to me, bright yellow urine. It may cause you to itch. All of these are temporary.
I have been off and on this among other supplements for extended periods of time. I'm just sharing what I know from my personal experience. Everyone's chemical make up is different. Some people tolerate things better than others. I also have stomach issues, so I'm one that benefits from supplements as my limited diet does not allow for me to eat lots of foods, hindering my ability to obtain the nutrients I need.

You're welcomed! Glad to be useful! Oh, one more thing, I have experienced headaches when I first started taking biotin, intermittently. If you can get past those side effects, the benefits are truly worth the hassles. B- complex is good too. Make sure you're getting your proper water intake when taking any supplements, too.
