I know you guys are probably sick of me talking about heavy metal and horror movies, but these days, those are all I have, the only things that make me happy.
What is the most grisly death scene in a movie in your opinion? I have a couple to start us off:
American History X - where the guy makes the bad guy open his mouth and put it on the concrete curb. Then he steps heavily on his head.
Final Destination 2 - There is a huge truck hauling logs and the logs become dislodged on the freeway and one bounces off the truck onto the pavement and straight into a police car on the driver's side. So you can see the log enter the windshield and see the log exit the back window with bloody pieces of the cop all over the log.
Teeth - A young girl has a set of very sharp teeth deep inside her vagina and doesn't know it. Her boyfriend tries to force himself upon her and she panics. Then her inner teeth bite off his member and he starts to scream and bleeds to death, the severed penis sitting right by her side.
Jaws - When the boat is sinking and the shark's upper body is on the bow of the boat and Captain Quint is sliding down the wet deck towards the sharks snapping jaws. Eventually, his lower body goes into the sharks mouth and the shark clamps down and you hear the bones break. Quint screams and blood rushes from his mouth. I was 8 years old when I saw that scene. Screwed me up for life. I wouldn't even go into the lake after seeing that movie!
I'm in a very melancholy mood tonight my friends, I could do this all night. Just play along so I don't cry. But I think a few of you are used to me by now. I can imagine you all shaking your heads going "what the hell is wrong with Endlessgrief? She is so morbid!" When I get super depressed, I turn to horror movies to make myself feel better. I can think, "thank God that is not ME in that movie" or "it could be worse, I could be locked in Leather Face's basement."
Dolly you are so sweet. Thanks for being there and sharing your death scenes with me.
My husband loves Sparticus and he says it is extremely gory. I can't believe the original Sparticus, that goreous hunk of man flesh died of cancer!
I try to act all tough and cool, but I NEVER watch horror movies involving dentists. When I saw the Omega Man way back when in the 70's where a man tortures another by drilling into good teeth with healthy nerves, I had nightmares for weeks!
The dentist (Steve Martin) in the remake of Little Shop of Horrors made me look away, uneasy.
Did you see Saw 7? One dude has to pull out three of his molars to get a code to open a lock. He didn't die, but it was pretty horrific.
You saw Teeth? What a strange idea for a movie eh? I remember way back when, Richard Pryor did a comedy set where he says that woman should have the same vaginas as dogs do. You know how sometimes when dogs are screwing they get stuck together and you have to use a hose on them to get them to separate? Richard Pryor said that would be great for women who are being raped because they could clamp down on the rapists penis and drag him to the police station.
here's one, though. you remember American Werewolf in London, where the bobbies are holding down the roll-down door at the porn theatre. you see the inspector walking up, and the wolf bursts through and rips his head off.....the head rolls out into Piccadilly Circus.
well it might cheer you up to know that me and D played rage against the machine really loud on the way to school - I'm taking great pleasure in playing music my H would have HATED ha ha
I have still never seen the Marathon Man dentist scene - refuse to watch, I don't even know what made me watch 'the Dentist', it was on and I thought 'hell yeah why not and regretted it ever since. Also can't do anything with eyes - that bit at the end of Clockwork Orange freaks me the f*ck out, particularly as I know they actually scratched Malcolm McDowell's eyeball doing it
I'm a fan of real 'classic' death scenes - like Alien and the Exorcist but my favourite is Hellraiser, still gives me the fear!!

A Clockwork Orange is one of my alltime favorite movies. I often sing "Singing in the Rain" and act out the slaps and kicks on my husband (very lightly of course). He looks at me like I am nuts.
I abhor rap music, I want rappers to die, however, I love Rage Against the Machine. I love to blast "Killing in the Name Of" in my car. "F*CK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME, F*CK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!!!!" I hate when my dad calls me and I downloaded that song and that specific part as a ringtone so that songs plays when my dad calls and I ignore it.
Hellraiser was a very cool movie and very hard to watch, especially if you HATE pain. You know they make those boxes and sell them in costume shops and Halloween stores and I will not buy one just in case . . . . . haha
I know this isn't a movie but I enjoy watching 1000 ways to die... it makes hubby squirm though lol. I also enjoy rob zombie, rammstein, korn, and a few others .

Gaia, I was gonna start a new thread on that show, to find out people's favorite ways to die. I love that show. Notice how everyone who dies, they make out to be evil so you WANT them to die?
One of my favorites is an old Priest leader back in the year 1108 or something. He thought everyone who did anything strange or had moles was a witch and would have them stoned to death. Well, he eats some mushrooms that happen to be like LSD and starts behaving crazy and his parishioners think HE is a witch, so they stone HIM to death. Ah, Karma!
this story may not have made it over there but I think you'll enjoy it
every year UK X Factor is on in the lead up to Xmas and every year the soppy tw*t that wins it gets to be Xmas number one in the charts with some god-awful dirge
in 2009 there was a concerted social media campaign to stop the march of Simon 'the death of music' Cowell and get 'Killing in the Name' to number one for Xmas
and it won!! ha ha - and the radio stations had to play it, but they had to cut it off before the end
So I was watching the scene, and all I could think was: "I hate it when that happens, just ruins your whole day".
I'm not exactly a huge death scene aficionado but I recently saw Shaun of the Dead, and the scene where that putz guy gets pulled out of the pub window and eaten... yeah it's short but it's gotta at least blip on the grisly death detector.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the meat hook scene has to register as well I suspect.
