Massage oils, lotions, cremes, butters ...
I'd like to jus tthrow this open and ask what massage oils, lotions, cremes, or butters the ladies like. Don't think about price when naming it, just tell me what you really like.
The reason I'm asking ... I've been stuck in a rut with what I use for giving my wife the "princess treatment." This treatment is especially for her feet and legs, since she gets feet, leg, and hand massages almost every day. However; at least twice, and usually 3 times/week, she gets the full treatment.
What I've been using for some time now is Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Butter. As much as I enjoy giving her the princess treatment, I don't really know that many places to go to get the supplies. I started with this on our daughters' suggestion. When I go into BBW to get it, I always ask for suggestions, but when they bring someone to help and answer questions, they always come across to me as ... (how do I say it nicely?) ... lacking breadth of experience, but able to quote me what they've been told. The end result is that I keep getting the same stuff. I'd like to throw in a little variety.
So help me a little bit, if you would. What do you like? And where do you get it?

Go to the grocery store and get grape seed oil and then hit the health store for the aroma therapy oil. You can drop a sent in to a bottle of grape seed oil and have a different aroma every day of the month. Plus there are charts for using aroma therapy which scent does what for ones mood.
I love the one my H uses it smells like a dream Popsicle Professional grade lotion is the best and can be scented too. I like Bon Vita because there is no greasy feel after. My H is a licensed massage therapist so I am on the spoiled side of things
But that is just my suggestion
Oh and there are feet and leg massage scrub in the same places that sale the Bon Vita. Try searching for professional massage equipment if you are serious about keeping this up then you should buy what the pros get!

I know there's Aveda stores in your state. My suggestion would be to look into their range of "Pure-Fume" aromas. I think they are already blended with a carrier oil but I'm not certain. They're good for easy, nice home-use. You could always add a few drops of the chosen oil (rose/ylang ylang/patchouli..whatever you and your wife enjoy the aroma of) with a carrier oil if needed to make it last longer. A good carrier oil for massage is sweet almond oil. Jojoba is nice too.
I don't mean to advertise Aveda but I think it'd be a good option for you to start with.
There will also be local essential oils - most likely at Metro Market. You can make up your own massage blends using a few drops of essential oils into a carrier oil (sweet almond). Olive oil can be used, there's nothing wrong with that, but it's just a bit heavier that's all.
Just be aware that some essential oils are more prone to being slightly agitating when used topically over others. Eg: clove, citrus etc. I'm sure you can find out more about the whole world of aromatherapy through the local brand if you find one.
I went to an adult store and bought a really expensive massage oil cause I wanted something good... smelled nice and the lady there recommended it. When I got home and read the ingredients it is basically sweet almond oil and essential oils. I already have all those ingredients at home (my ex left behind tons of supplies she didn't use anymore at her spa), could have saved myself some cash.
This is my all time favorite lotion. Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream. It's from Origins. They sell it at Macy's which is where I get it. I've used it for over five years because of its light refreshing scent. It's not an overpowering scent. The first time I saw the product was when it was on the Oprah's Favorite Things show. If it was good enough for a billionaire, it was good enough for Coffee Amore!

Toxic? That sounds like a discussion we need to have sometime.
I like for her feet to look good. I'm of the opinion that I should never let them not look good ... not to the point where she can't hike with us and enjoy herself, but I should keep her looking nice. I'm not a fetish guy, either, but I enjoy making her look good ... and I like that she enjoys it.
It's not that she's not capable, but honestly, it's something I enjoy doing ... and of course, I have the additional motive of keeping the blood flowing so we never have diabetes related issues with extremeties. She enjoys being touched and massaged, so it is just a pleasant time together.
I'm not sure I want to get an orgasm in a bottle, though ... I'd rather that one just stay all natural .

A little follow up you reminded me of. I tried just straight olive oil in the past, but it really gives a funny feel to her skin. She didn't seem to mind it, but I didn't much like it. Her skin didn't seem to absorb it so readily, either. How does the sweet almond oil feel on the skin? Is it lotion-like? Does it absorb easily?

I keep a bottle of Bath and Body works Jasmine Vanilla scented massage oil, at all times.
I can only describe the smell as sex. seriously, I want sex to smell like that..I also compulsively have the perfume, candle, lotion, bubble bath somewhere, and if they'd just make a room diffusing plug in of it, I'd have about 20 of them.
it's seriously delish. I'd eat it if I could. It totally helps the massage knock me unconscious too, which is how I like them.
