Things that irritate me: (not in any given order)...
1. Slow turtle like Cashiers
2. Non-smiling rude receptionists- anyone who works for the public needs a
3. People who tell bogus stories for attention
4. People who are sue-happy.
5. People who talk a mile a minute with no concern if the listener is even interested.
6. If they have dragon breath & are too close to your face, even if they don't -- I will move away.
7. People who whine about being broke, can't afford rent/house payment -but so clearly go out & waste their $$ as soon as the paycheck hits thier hands.
8. Anyone who is wreckless who gets in trouble, DUI's, drugs -then blames others for their dilemma = no personal responsibilty.
9. Any type of Fundamentalist who feels everyone is wrong outside of his/her specific beliefs....can not see shades of Grey in life. (though I do enjoy arguing with them)
10. People who judge others on material gain, social status , worldly success....or racial color, nationality, religion, sexual orientation.
*** I just asked my husband this question... his reply......

That reminds me of another pet peeve: People who wait until they get to the front of a long line at the store, wait for a cashier to ring up everything... and are then somehow shocked and surprised that they need to pay for everything. Then, and only then, do they proceed to try and pull out their wallet/purse/whatever to pay for what they were going to buy. What's more such people typically store their money in the most difficult place possible so as to only further anger and delay the scads of people behind them. Then the process is repeated for each and every single person in the line.
Seriously people... get your credit card, check book or cash out while you are getting run up. It's not hard.

Working with and being around college students, this one really gets me. They always complain about how they have no money, they are all on food stamps instead of working (whatever happened to 'working your way through college?!'), but they somehow manage to find money to go clubbing from Thursday - Saturday nights, smoke cigarettes and pot, and drink like fish. All of that stuff is expensive!! Get off the dole and use your 'recreation' money to buy food for cryin' out loud!! When I can't afford a bottle of wine or some beer, I just can't get it right then. If I can't afford a babysitter or a cover charge, etc., I stay home. Jeepers, kids, grow up! (Gosh, I guess that's been building up for a few years, huh?)

People who act as if no one has it as bad as they do, complain to you about their issues, expect you to listen and sympathize, then turn around and tell you to suck it up and quit complaining when you feel like venting about your issues.. even though your issues could be worse or the same as their own.

I try not to let stupid people/things annoy me (it's hard) because life is short and why spend time stressing about stuff that doesn't matter in the long run?
BUT, having said that, I hate it when newbies revive threads on TAM from 2008, 2009, 2010...I don't know why it annoys me, it just does!
I think I'm the only person who does clean toilets in this house.
I love being home in the summer and being a wife/mom. My houses is in order, and I'm not doing **** til 8:30pm cause I get home at 3:30.
It is a sweet gig. I would LOVE it full time (so long as I can talk to grown women throughout the day so I'm not drooling on myself in the corner when hubs gets home haha). But it's not feasible.
but I only have 2 kids lolll...and they are easy. It would be way different if I had 4 or something.

I never said being a SAHM was anywhere near as stressful as working outside the home. It isn't, and I am the first one to say that it isn't.
Moms who work outside the home usually have twice the stress level, I think. Some handle it well, some don't. I just saw a show where they were giving the alcohol and drug abuse rates among moms, and they are skyrocking, because women are trying to do too much. Yes, I realize for many women working outside the home is not a choice.
You are exactly the type of person I was referring to when I mentioned attitude, and exactly why I try and avoid this discussion.
Have a nice day.
I feel I have a good handle on it *now*. It was overwhelming but I got into the groove. It works.
But cheers! It's beer time. Seriously. It is. What.

ETA: And if it did, I'm sorry -- that was not my intention.

That's not to say I disagree with you, T_G, just that not all SAHMs are the same.
Yea...Like i said, i was talking about MY friends. Not SAHM's in general

Why should i pay my bills when I have so many better things to buy! HA! That was my mentality in college. But i paid anyway. Although, I lived off rice and mustard. Who cared! I had cute shoes.
