Re: Remember when...
Does anyone remember when tv channels would have "technical difficulties" or the station would go off the air at night and a bunch of colored bars would be on the screen?

Haha! I remember when TV stations would stop airing programs for the night.

Was thinking of getting one of these for the back yard.

Now I could definitely make use of that for my next Super Bowl Party! Provided, of course, that the weather cooperates and it's normally balmy!

That pic is wrong of course. It would have to be dark out for you to actually see anything since it is a projection screen.

I miss stick shifts... I wanted one on our car when we got it 7 years ago. Shot down by my wife.

I had some 45's as a kid: beach boys.
For some strange reason I have a desire to go surfing now, come on and safari with me.... (can you hear the music yet?
).

Re: Remember when...
Had an 8 track cassette tape player in my yellow VW Kharman Ghia Convertible! Played the Beach Boys all the time running the ocean highway(LA-27 & TX-87)with the top nearly always down, during my college career, anywhere from Holly Beach, LA all the way over to Galveston and Surfside, TX.
Sad fact is that TX-87 between Port Arthur and High Island, TX was pretty much washed out several years ago by Hurricane Rita. TXDOT decided against rebuilding what was truly one of the most scenic highways ever in the state of Texas!
Understand that, due to its general inaccessibility, that stretch of road plays out, and that a lot of folks are using parts of that expansive stretch of beach for nude sunbathing. Or so we've heard!

Re: Remember when...
Remember the days before one could rent movies? You had to see it at the theater, and if you missed it, you had to wait until it came on TV as the "Friday Night Movie." That was a big deal.
