Default True blood on hbo

Are any of you into this show? Been watching from the beginning? I think it would be cool to come in here once a week and pick apart the episode and tell what we like and what we don't like.

I will not give any spoilers until someone posts here after my post who is up to date on the show.

So Dolly, are you saying that your favorite character is Pam, the one Eric made? She heavily involved in the new season. They even go back to when she was human and didn't know Eric.

Love it - have saved the last few of Season 4 on Sky+ to rewatch

Why am I not surprised you like Pam best dolly ?

I do too - she has the best lines 'g*sh in a sundress ' comes to mind from last series

Its a bit of a guilty pleasure for me as I have to make sure boys not around and WH would scoff

We're catching up on Games of Thrones and loving it.

True Blood, we started losing interest when the panther story-line was developing. We're on the fence about it these days. Liked season 1 the best. endless did you read the books?

Dolly, I found it surprising by how many cast members are actually British. Vampire Bill is British, but the one that shocked me the most is Jason Stackhouse. He does his New Orleans boy so well, when you hear him speak in his natural British voice, it's like it is someone else.

I did not know Lafayette was British! Anyone sick to death of Tara yet? I have been sick of Sookie since the first season. How can a person fall so deeply in and out of love with so many people? I don't blame her for tasting all the sweet male flesh that surrounds her, but this "we will be in love forever" is so played out.

The panther story died. Just like that. No explanation. Ever since Jason escaped the panthers they have not even mentioned it. I'm glad because it was a stupid story. Jason is too cute to chase around a skinny girl with dirty hair who looks like she needs a sandwich.

I love this show. Enough that when I had to wait for season 3 during the hiatus, I read all the novels in the series that inspired it.

Pam is my favorite character, though I also really liked the Queen of Louisiana -- mainly because she was hot. I also really like Jason's character and Hoyt's. The panther storyline played out badly. Can't stand the way they handled the fairy thing; it was better in the novels. I prefer the show's Eros/Thanatos raunchy southern gothic thing to the goody goody preachy morality of the novels, though Harris does better things with plot and has many interesting characters.

Knew about Bill being British. Jason Stackhouse is Australian.

I can't stand Sookie. The way she bats her eye-lids and keeps getting herself into that mess. Yeah, I know there wouldn't be a story-line if she did the smart thing, but still. Bugs me!
