I hate when people are at the self-checkout and they have NO IDEA how it works. The worker has to keep coming over to help them. WTF. If you don't know how it works, then stand in a queue...don't waste other people's time who KNOW how to scan their own shet.
Funny though, it's really not that hard. As long as you can read, hear and know what a bar code is. Oh and can find the correct picture of fruits/vegetables. I don't know how it can get any simpler... unless someone does all of it for you. Oh wait, we have that already.

I'm a hypocrite about it. I really do hate it (fewer jobs) but it's so efficient and I don't have to pretend and ask the cashier how they are doing. Yeah I know, I'm an introvert.
As my BIL would put it.... You probably have a ..... "Powerful voice" Was soooo funny when he told me that one day... that I have a powerful voice.... uhhh i was just being stern with the kids... lmao.. and when I'm stern.... they listen.
"Powerful voice" heh. Yea, that's a very good description. Tho, I can speak quietly to her, and she knows I mean business! I guess it's just "Aunt Mari" huh?

The reason why i hate it is because of the... having to wait until it takes the weight of the groceries and catalogs it down thing!! Sometimes it doesn't even get that right! Or it skips an item, or adds an item... ugh... i prefer the regular check out... lol. Besides... those self check outs are so small.... don't have much room on them if you have a cart or two full of groceries.

Very true. I hate (saying that to stay on topic) how self checkout flips out when you remove items from bagging area. It's mine now, damnit.

Depends on the store. There are some, like Meijer in southwest Michigan, where they actually have a belt at the end where your groceries go down to be bagged at the end.... like a regular checkout (the old days!)
lmao... well the WAL MARTS I've been too... have short arse counters instead of belts... it's a fricken PAIN... which is why i go to the reg check outs... lol

And my little one likes to stand on the back of the cart and hold on. lolll. She's fallen off a few times, got her finger ran over, but whatever. Kids bounce. She loves it!
I hate the person behind me in line with one thing, and I have like, 2 carts worth, and they keep giving me weird looks. Oh, I know what they're trying to say, but SO WHAT! SUCKA! IF you wanted to be before me, you should have seen my big ass moving towards the queue and you should have moved a little quicker.
Reminds me of when people with 30 items are in front of you in line and all I have in my hand is gum... they look my way but don't offer to let me go before them. I'm not saying everytime, but c'mon. I'll take all of 5 seconds. I'll even slap a 5 down and tell the cashier to keep the change/give it to you... so I can be on my way. lol #mylittlerant

1. The toilet paper. It seems I have the magic key to the roller. I will come into the bathroom and the roller has an empty tube, and another toilet paper roll is sitting on top or on the back of the toilet. Were you in that big of a hurry that you couldn't wipe your ass and replace the roll???
2. The trashcan is right there. Aiming at the trashcan does not count in throwing things away. Please keep your day job, whomever you are...you'd suck at basketball.
3. The dishwasher. I am the only one not allergic to the dishwasher. People will rise dishes and put them in the sink, but the dishwasher is empty. HELLOOOO!? The cleaning fairy was murdered a long time ago.
I just laugh. I make the culprit come fix this shet. AND I smile to myselfbecuase when my daughter moves out, her place will be a dump.
I work for a major utility and one of my rotations is the cash desk. Little old seniors still come pay in person vs. computer banking.
Here in Canada interac payment or direct debit is big. I hate seniors who don't know how to use their debit card. And to boot - are deaf so they can't hear your instructions. The line grows and grows....
I hate when i tell H to put things out of kids reach and he thinks that means... clear at the top of wherever... where i can't reach it either!!!! I just KNOW he does that shyt on purpose!!

1. "I wasn't talking". No? Because I just saw your mouth moving with sound coming out of it...."I was just asking for a pencil." Ohhhh, my bad, I didn't realize. THAT'S TALKING!
2. "I only hit him one time!" Oh, then that's totally ok! My bad. One time is fine, even though his nose is bleeding. One time, you say? You deserve a freakin' medal for classroom citizenship.
3. "I didn't hear you." Oh, I am so sorry. I guess the first 3 times didn't register with you because you were too busy TALKING. Excuuuuse me, princess. But oh well, you snooze--- you LOSE.
4. "I don't have a pencil." What? Why not? Did you forget you were coming to school today? Did you wake up and think you were going to a party? Seems so. When I go to the market, do I forget my wallet? Ok, maybe that ONE time, but I had a new baby and life was hectic. You have ONE job in life....to bring a pencil to school. Twerp.
5. "I am in line." Really? Hm. So if I drew a LINE, would you be on it? No. You'd be on the left of that line. Didn't you learn what a line was in Kindergarten? Oh what's that? You were talking during that lesson? Figures.
Oh course I am not this sarcastic with my students!! BUT DAMN! It's amazing I'm not a raging alcoholic...at work.
