Hey --- wait a minute -- the only people who could have known that information were me, the police, and.... teewhy?!?! YOU are my creepy neighbor?!?! Great disguise, btw.
HEY!! I never admitted to going inside.. now if somebody (pix) had stepped out of the shower and so happened to see my chocolate bald head peeking through the window, that's different...

Well, after saying everything is great, I just found out it isn't. I realized that along with the roll of tape I never found, he apparently took a little ring box that I had on the same table. I didn't notice it til this afternoon. It had a ring in it that was given to me by my grandmother, and which I just found out may be a more valuable stone than I'd been told it was. So it has obvious sentimental value and possibly substantial monetary value, too. And now it's gone. DS and I looked all over and it is nowhere to be found. I called the police, and unfortunately, it doesn't sound like they're going to send anyone out right away to talk to him, even though he admitted to being in my house and eating and drinking my food and using my tape (which is still missing), etc. -- that probably sounds silly, but I told her how much the ring meant to me and that I want it back. I just feel sick. It's not that I'd ever want to sell it, but just knowing it was there in an emergency was a little peace of mind. Hopefully, he took it as a 'souvenir' and not to pawn or something.

can you go ask him about it and just not say anything about going to the police?
since he admitted to everything else.
